4 Conditions Band Secure Gold Win for “Ticket to Hide” at the 2026 LIT Music Awards

Virginia Beach, VA – The 2026 LIT Music Awards have officially unveiled this season’s winners, recognizing outstanding achievements across the global music industry. Honoring excellence in songwriting, recording, production, and music video, the award spotlights artists, independent musicians, and creators shaping contemporary music. With hundreds of entries submitted from over 30 countries, 4 Conditions, a Virginia Beach, Virginia band, has been recognized as a Gold winner in the Rock-Alt song category.

About the Winning Entry

The song “Ticket to Hide” is a sweeping, cinematic rock anthem that flips the Romeo and Juliet myth on its head — because this time, Romeo isn’t dying.

Driven by gritty guitars and a commanding female lead by Danielle Gerard, who moves from vulnerable confession to defiant roar, the song tells the story of escape, regret, and self-reckoning. What starts as a distant tale of “she” and “he” slowly unravels into a personal revelation — “She turned out to be me.”

That twist lands hard, transforming the track from storytelling into emotional confession. Set against vivid imagery — Marseille streets, tickets to hide, military orders to fly — the chorus hooks with a chant-like repetition: “Make your bed, and you lie in it / cry in it / die in it.” It’s raw, dramatic, and built for a crowd to shout back.

The unexpected flute solo slices through the distortion like a gust of sea wind —haunting, rebellious, and slightly psychedelic — elevating the song beyond standard rock into something theatrical and unforgettable.

The 4 Conditions are:

Richard Neal: Bass, guitars, vocals

Steve Perl: Guitars, vocals

John Murray: Drums

Danielle Gerard: Vocals, flute, percussion

The gold-winning entry highlights a dynamic vocal performance by Danielle Gerard, a great lead flute solo, and a build to a closing crescendo, all of which contribute to its recognition on an international platform.
